Sign inHow to turn a video into a blog post
- Paste one video link and choose Create transcript & blog. Existing captions are used first; if there are none, the speech is transcribed.
- Read the transcript while the article is written. Check names, numbers and quotes against the video, section by section.
- Copy the article as rich text to paste into your editor, or download it as HTML, Markdown or TXT.
What the article is based on
The article is written from what is said in the video; the transcript is its source. On-screen text that nobody reads out, and anything shown but not explained, will be missing. AI writing can still get details wrong, so before you publish:
- Add your own view, examples or experience, so the post is more than a summary of the video.
- Check facts, figures and names against the video and other sources.
- Credit the source video and link to it.
- Make sure you have the right to reuse the content, especially if the video isn’t yours.
Export formats
| Result | Formats | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Blog article | Rich text copy, HTML, Markdown, TXT | Pasting into WordPress, Notion, another CMS or a document. |
| Transcript | TXT, SRT, Markdown, JSON | Quoting, captions, or checking the article against the video. |
Which videos work
- Public videos from YouTube, TikTok, Bilibili, Douyin and X, one link at a time.
- Videos up to 4 hours long. The free daily tasks after signing in cover videos up to 20 minutes.
- Talks, tutorials, interviews, reviews and podcasts work best. Videos that are mostly music or visuals give the article little to work with.
Common questions
Can the article be in a different language from the video?
Yes. Before you start, choose Keep original language or pick one of 12 output languages.
Is this the same tool as Video Link to Text?
Yes. It is the same tool, so free uses, credits and history are shared. This page focuses on turning the result into a post you can publish.
Do I need an account?
Paste a video link to get started. A sign-in option appears when needed. Completed transcripts and blogs are saved to your account history after signing in. If credits or membership are needed, you can choose them in the dialog.
How long are results kept?
Temporary tasks and their download links last 6 hours. Completed transcripts and blogs are saved separately to your account or this browser, with a limit of 100 recent entries and 50 MB; older entries may be removed. Clearing browser data removes guest history. Download files you want to keep.
